Giving food bloggers & brands work/life balance through strategic & beautifully photographed recipes!

What started as a simple hobby in 2020 became so much more. As a project management professional, I found food photography as a way to enjoy the treats and creations I was baking or experimenting with at home. After coming across tutorial based food photography and a need for experienced talent in the field, I started Edible Shots by Melissa in 2021 after several months of self education and private tutorial sessions to ensure my work will fit the needs of online content creators, restaurants, and brands. 

I am organized, courteous and patient.

I value generosity and connections.

I seek to create a joyful living by providing life/work balance and support to my clients through creating amazing recipe visuals with photography and videography.

I've added some fun facts below about me and my family, including my husband who assists in exclusive recipe development. Get to know me -

  • I have a PMP certification, which is a Project Management Professional.

  • I am a Big Sister volunteer, and I’ve been matched with Cheyanne since June of 2010. 

  • I can’t go a day without watching a Disney/Star Wars/Pixar/Marvel movie- I watch movies while I shoot recipes :)

  • We have six cats, all rescues, and we also foster cats/pregnant cats to give them a safe space to have their litter.

I am fortunate enough to have culinary resources as I am married to a [former] Executive Chef who shares his knowledge of recipe development and execution so I may present my recipes better than Google can rate them.
